Travel from the East

Approach Mâcon from the East via Bresse on either the N79 or the A406. The motorway is being extended westwards but currently it ends south west of Mâcon and becomes the N79.   The N79 is one of the major East West routes in France and can be a dangerous road with lots of heavy traffic at times.

Get onto or continue on the N79 in the direction of Cluny and Charolles, there are signposts on this road for Taizé.

Turn North off the N79 onto the D980 to Cluny, skirt the centre of Cluny itself and turn right (North) at the roundabout onto the D981 to Massilly.

In Massilly, take the only right turn off the main road, just after the bar, 'Cafe Du Coin'.   Pass the factory at the edge of the village then fork right in the direction of Cortambert.   Pass a forest on your left, ignoring the small sign for Toury, and at the end of a long (1Km) straight look out for the sign to 'Le Havre' and branch left to Toury.   Our house is the third on the left in the main village after having passed several outlying farms and houses and the vineyard.   If you wish, we can fly a flag outside the front of the house!
