Le Havre (The Haven or The Sanctuary)
Nestling in the small hamlet of Toury beneath rolling Burgundian hills, our home has become an opportunity to offer good accommodation and food for those who wish to visit the nearby ecumenical community of Taizé or simply explore Southern Burgundy and the Beaujolais. We are 10 minutes drive or just over an hour's walk from the church in Taizé and 15 minutes drive from Cluny.
Le Havre was originally two farm labourers' cottages built on older foundations, we have refurbished the house so that it offers guest accommodation of three twin bedded rooms with a shared shower and toilet. We offer bed and breakfast for individuals, couples or small groups.
We are very familiar with both the local area and the Taizé Community. Our vision is to guide you through the daily routine of worship, study and reflection. We offer a quiet space within the house with a wide range of books to borrow.
There are maps available for exploring the area both by car and on foot.
